Overview:
We’re looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented Data Engineer who is passionate about building scalable data systems and transforming raw data into reliable, actionable insights. You understand how to design efficient data pipelines, manage large datasets, and ensure data quality across platforms. You’re comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams and know when to optimise, automate, or refactor to maintain performance and scalability. You thrive on solving complex data challenges and are driven to create robust, high-performing data architectures that support business growth.
What You'll Do
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes
- Collaborate with data analysts, scientists, and stakeholders to understand data requirements
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency across multiple sources
- Optimise database performance and manage large-scale data systems
- Implement data warehousing solutions and support analytics infrastructure
What You'll Bring
- Proven experience in building and managing data pipelines and architectures
- Strong proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Scala)
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and data tools (e.g., BigQuery, Redshift)
- Familiarity with ETL tools, data warehousing, and distributed systems
- Experience working with large datasets and optimising performance
